How it works
If you can swipe, you already know how to use it.
Swipe up for the next story
Each story fills the screen: a clear headline, a two-to-three sentence summary and the photos from the article.
Tap through to the full article
The outlet's name and logo sit on every story, and the Read button opens the original article on the outlet's own site.
Make the feed yours
React, save and share. Ask for more of a topic, hide one completely, or turn off a source. Your feed follows along.
Reported by newsrooms. Summarized by AI.
AI doesn't write the news. Journalists at real news outlets report it. AI only condenses their article into a neutral headline and a short summary, so you can catch up in seconds.
The source is always on screen
Outlet logo and name on every story, never hidden behind a menu.
One tap to the original
“Read on …” opens the full article on the publisher's site. Reading it is never locked.
Honest about AI
Every story carries an “AI summary” label. A summary can miss details, so the original is always the reference.
Built for the way you read on your phone
For You and Latest
A personal feed that learns what you care about, and a Latest tab with everything new, newest first.
Full coverage
When several outlets report the same story, see every version side by side instead of the same story twice.
You're in control
More of this, Hide or Not interested. Turn any news source off. Change it all later in Settings.
Local and world news
Stories about where you are, plus the world. Add countries you follow or hide the ones you don't.
No account needed
Start reading right away. Create a free account only if you want your saved stories on a new phone.

The only ad: optional, and the reward is stated upfront

Your first 3 days are free
No videos, no timers. Just swipe.
Then, one video unlocks 60 minutes
When your time runs out, a card asks if you want to watch a short video. You see the reward before you press play.
Never more than 4 a day
The 4th video of the day unlocks the rest of the day (until midnight UTC).
Never locked: stories shared with you, the Read full article links, your saved stories and settings.
Questions, answered
What is SwipelyNews?
SwipelyNews is a free short news app for iPhone and Android. Each story is a full-screen reel: swipe up for the next one. Every story comes from a real article by a news outlet, is summarized by AI, and always shows the outlet's name with a link to the full article. How it works
Is SwipelyNews free?
Yes. SwipelyNews is free to download and use, with no subscription and no sign-up. Your first few days on a phone are completely free. After that, you can watch an optional short video to unlock unlimited news for a while. That's the only kind of ad in the app: no banners.
Is the news on SwipelyNews written by AI?
No. Every story is reported by a news outlet. AI only condenses the outlet's article into a neutral headline and a short summary, and picks photos or videos from that article. The outlet is always credited and its full article is one tap away. How AI summaries work
Where do the stories come from?
From hundreds of news outlets around the world, in the 9 languages the app supports. Each story shows the outlet's logo and name, and a "Read on" button that opens the original article on the outlet's own website. Stories about the same event from different outlets are grouped under Full coverage.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start reading straight away. Your reactions and saves are kept with a guest profile linked to this phone. If you want to keep them when you change phones, you can create a free account at any time with an email code, Google or Apple. There are no passwords.
